Shadow Ed

When the question is asked: "What can business do to better prepare students for the world of work?" or "How can we help students make better decisions about careers - careers that are right for them, of interest to them and know what education is required in each case?"

SHADOWING is always a popular response. For Sioux Falls high school students, ShadowED is that clearinghouse to arrange shadow experiences. Each year more than 300 students take part by choosing one of 200 occupations of interest to them. The one-on-one shadow experiences enable students to make better career decisions while at the same time showcases the wealth of career options available in the Sioux Falls Community. Nearly 100 businesses open their doors each year to ShadowED students.
